Our friends at the White Mountain Adaptive Snowsports School at Loon Mountain were spotlighted on the New England Cable Network. I have included the link so you can check it out and learn more about them. We have annually tried to organize ski trips to the mountain, they are a fantastic organization and help many people access the mountain. I personally am a bit biased because I volunteer for the program but the ski program is arguably the best on the east coast. I hope that everyone can get a chance to take a look at this video and see what it is all about. I encourage anyone to ask questions about the sport of skiing, it is the cure for the doldrums of winter. Instead of griping about the cold and snow that we have here in little Rhody, you can take a three hour trip to the White mountains and ski. For anyone who has been to the program, the tiny little space that we lovingly call the ‘blue room’ will be replaced by a large space that will be much more accomodating to the large number of lessons that are put out on the mountain.

Hi everyone, This section of the blog will be for sports and recreation, for all of us to share experiences, like great places to paddle or cycle. Or maybe equipment that has been helpful to you. You may want to share the story of an adventure and how it has changed your view of the world. You may have been on a trip and found an accessible hotel that made your experience more enjoyable. Maybe you saw something that you want to try but don’t know how to do it, like Skiing or SCUBA diving. The amount of knowledge that collectively we all have may astound you. We are looking forward to your contibutions and hope that you enjoy ours.

Hello everyone, here is the new blog you may (or may not) have heard about. We are trying to provide a forum for us all to talk about what we are passionate about. Sports, recreation, healthy living and fun. We are very excited about this and looking forward to hearing what you have to say. As this blog evolves we will be able to share our experiences with each other, hopefully helping ourselves and others access sports and recreation. Please post questions and experiences the more we all contribute the more valuable the community will be. We want to provide a safe fun atmosphere for everyone so please be respectful of each others views. I hope that we can use this space to learn from each other and free us up to ‘get out there’. So come back and see what’s new.
